In prayer...
I listened to and watched Jesus speak of His Kingdom. He used language that I could understand. "It is like a mustard seed, or a pearl of great value," He said. But I still found it impossible to grasp His meaning.
And so I asked Him: "My King, what is Your Kingdom?"
He gently placed His hand on my chest, and from within me a light begins to glow. It is bright and golden, piercing yet sweet to the touch. It seemed to be like cotton inside and outside of me. It made me feel like a little boy playing on a wide field, watching his kite fly higher and higher.
Ah, the mystery of it all, that within each human heart lies hidden a Kingdom ruled by God.
If only I could live my life with this truth ever before me, and I, constantly absorbing all its riches.
Oh, Lord, what is man that you have blessed him so?
An entire Kingdom within me...
